Discover a framework and process for socializing and rationalizing study designs with your stakeholders.

In this full-day workshop, Meena Kothandaraman and Zarla Ludin will take you through the framework principles, and share how to design credible research studies that orient everyone consuming the research (including stakeholders) to a common goal. Beyond being a tangible framework that results in good research design, this framework will help you shift mindsets about the potential purpose of qualitative research.


You’ll learn how to:

  • Plan and design a successful user research study
  • Expand and improve your methods to document the knowns and get answers to unknowns in a meaningful way
  • Use a simple and visual analog tool to help you share the potential of qualitative research and design credible research studies by promoting good practices
  • Turn skeptics in your organization into educated consumers of qualitative research


Who is this workshop for?

  • If you’re not a user researcher, you’ll discover how to strategically leverage qualitative research in your organization
  • If you’re a researcher, you’ll learn how to elevate your research practices using the construct as a communication tool


In the workshop, you’ll work with a local non-profit as a client. The questions they seek to answer for their business will form the basis of a discussion and anchor the core content that brings the framework to purpose.

Workshop attendees will receive an electronic version of all course notes that mirror the presentation material.
