At the Frameworks Institute, Moira works with an interdisciplinary team employing a range of research methods to further public understanding of social issues. She is also involved in efforts to diffuse the organization’s evidence-based reframing recommendations throughout the nonprofit sector.
Since joining FrameWorks in 2009, she has worked on research projects designed to reframe such pressing issues as criminal justice reform, immigration, early childhood development, addiction, environmental health, education, public health and climate change. Prior to joining FrameWorks, Moira worked for the Appearance Assistance Program of the Vera Institute of Justice, which developed alternatives to detention for immigrants in removal proceedings.
Moira is trained as a sociologist, earning her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
